Terms of Use
Last updated: September 20, 2026
These terms set out the rules between us when you use UniMatch TR (www.unimatch.tr): what the service is, what it is not, how fees work and what the cancellation and refund rules are. You accept these terms when you create an account, and continuing to use the platform also means you accept them. How we handle your personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
In short
- UniMatch TR is a guidance platform: program matching, advisor review, a paid eligibility report and an optional paid one-to-one consultation.
- The eligibility report is not a university admission letter (Zulassungsbescheid) and cannot be used for a visa application; only universities decide on admission.
- You run 1 active application at a time. The report fee is payable only after your advisor approves your application, and you see the amount before you pay.
- If you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your session, you keep your booking or get a full refund. For cancellations less than 24 hours before the session, a 50% fee may be deducted.
- The information you give must be accurate, and the documents you upload must be genuine and your own.
1. What the service offers
UniMatch TR is a digital guidance platform that matches high-school students and graduates in Türkiye with university programs in Germany, most of which charge no tuition. The service has these steps:
- Matching: you enter your diploma grade, your YKS field and your language levels; the platform lists programs that may suit you and calculates your estimated German grade (NC) using the Bavarian formula.
- Advisor review: a UniMatch TR advisor reviews the documents you upload and your application, writes notes where needed and updates the status of your application.
- Eligibility report: once your application is approved, a one-time fee lets you view the report in your dashboard and download it as a PDF.
- One-to-one consultation: optional, charged separately, and held as a 45-minute video session.
Creating an account, using the matching tools, uploading documents and submitting an application are free. Two things are paid: the eligibility report and the one-to-one consultation.
The application you create on UniMatch TR is for our advisors to review; it is not in itself an official application to a university.
2. What we do not guarantee
The most important point: UniMatch TR is not a university and cannot make admission decisions. Universities set admission, quotas and NC thresholds, and German authorities decide on visas and blocked accounts. We do not guarantee admission, a visa, a scholarship or a blocked account.
- The match score and the estimated German grade (NC) are for guidance only; they are not a definitive result.
- University and program information in the catalog (requirements, dates, language conditions) can change over time. Verify it on the university's official pages before you decide.
- Advisor notes and comments made during consultations are guidance; they are not legal, financial or immigration advice.
The eligibility report is not a university admission letter (Zulassungsbescheid) and cannot be used for a visa application. Only the university makes the official admission decision.
3. Your account
- Signing up requires your first and last name, an e-mail address and a password; a phone number is optional. You confirm your e-mail address with the 6-digit code we send you.
- You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and up to date, and you update it on your profile page when it changes.
- Keeping your password confidential is your responsibility, and you are responsible for what happens through your account. Write to us immediately if you think your account is being used without your permission.
- You may not transfer, rent or share your account, and you must not give your login details to anyone else.
- You cannot change your e-mail address from your profile page; write to destek@unimatch.tr for that.
- To close your account, also write to destek@unimatch.tr; account deletion is not available in the dashboard at the moment.
The platform is aimed at high-school students, so some users may be under 18. If you are under 18, we recommend acting with the knowledge and approval of your parent or legal guardian before creating an account and especially before buying any paid service.
4. Application and documents
- You run 1 active application at a time. To move to a different program, you first have to withdraw your current application.
- An application requires your YKS result, your high-school diploma and your transcript; a language certificate is optional. Files can be PDF, JPG or PNG.
- The documents you upload must be genuine, current, legible and your own. Uploading forged, altered or other people's documents is prohibited.
- An advisor reviews each document and either approves it or rejects it with a note, asking you to upload it again if necessary.
- You can withdraw your application only before it is approved. Withdrawal cannot be undone: the application record and its timeline are deleted, while your uploaded documents stay in your account. If your application is rejected, you can withdraw it and apply to another program.
The statuses you see in your dashboard ('under review', 'approved' and similar) reflect the assessment of a UniMatch TR advisor; they are not a university's decision.
5. The eligibility report
- The report is a UniMatch TR document showing that your advisor reviewed your file and found it suitable. It carries your name, your estimated German grade, the relevant program and a report number.
- The report fee can be paid only after your advisor approves your application, and it is charged once per application; a second payment is blocked by the system.
- You see the current fee on the payment page before you confirm the payment.
- The report is delivered digitally: it unlocks in your dashboard as soon as the payment is verified, and you can view, print or save it as a PDF at any time.
- You must use the report without altering it; presenting it as an official admission document is prohibited.
6. One-to-one video consultation
- The consultation is optional and charged separately. The booking calendar opens after an advisor approves your application; the conditions that apply at that time are shown on the booking page.
- A session lasts 45 minutes, is one-to-one, and screen sharing is available on desktop browsers.
- You pick one of the fixed start times shown in Turkey time (TRT); the calendar is open up to 14 days ahead.
- The full fee is charged through Stripe when you book, and your appointment is created after the payment is verified.
- If the time you picked is taken at the last moment, your payment remains valid and your advisor will contact you to suggest a new time.
- Your session link appears in your dashboard and is also sent by e-mail. Please be ready at the time of your appointment.
- Your camera and microphone are off when the session starts; turning them on is your choice.
UniMatch TR does not record sessions. Recording a session, in audio or video, without the other side's explicit consent breaches our platform rules.
7. Fees and payment
- There are two paid services: the eligibility report and the one-to-one consultation. There is no subscription, package or application fee.
- Prices are shown in Turkish lira (TRY), and you see the total before you confirm the payment.
- UniMatch TR sets the report fee. The consultation fee is the session price shown on the platform for the advisor you choose.
- Amounts are calculated on our server and payments are verified server-side.
- Payment is taken by card on Stripe's hosted, secure payment page. Your card details never reach UniMatch TR and are not stored by us; Stripe's own terms also apply to the payment itself.
- A payment record and reference number linked to your account is created for each payment.
- We may change prices; changes do not affect payments already completed.
8. Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds
Our rule for consultation appointments is this: If you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your session, you keep your booking or get a full refund. For cancellations less than 24 hours before the session, a 50% fee may be deducted.
- Send cancellation and rescheduling requests to destek@unimatch.tr with your name and the date of your appointment; cancelling from the dashboard is not available at the moment.
- Where a refund is due, it is returned through Stripe to the payment method you used; how quickly it appears depends on your bank.
- If your advisor cannot attend or a technical problem prevents the session, you will be offered a new time; if no suitable time can be found, write to us.
The eligibility report unlocks digitally as soon as your payment is verified. Turkish distance contract rules provide exceptions to the right of withdrawal for services that begin, with the consumer's approval, before the withdrawal period ends and for services performed instantly in an electronic environment; the report fee may fall within that scope. If something goes wrong with your payment (for example the payment was taken but the report did not unlock), write to destek@unimatch.tr and we will sort it out.
Your statutory rights under consumer law are reserved; nothing in these terms limits them.
9. Acceptable use
When using the platform, you agree not to:
- Provide false information, or upload forged, altered or other people's documents.
- Create an account in someone else's name or impersonate another person.
- Try to reach other users' data or parts of the system you are not authorised for, or try to get around security measures.
- Scrape the platform with automated tools, overload it, disrupt its operation or upload malicious software.
- Insult, harass or threaten advisors or other users.
- Record sessions without the other side's explicit consent.
- Use, copy or resell the platform or its content commercially without our permission.
If we find behaviour that breaks these rules, forged documents or false information, we may restrict or close your account. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you beforehand. Your statutory rights are reserved.
10. Intellectual property
The text, design, software, matching and scoring system on the site and the layout of the eligibility report belong to UniMatch TR or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without permission. University and institution names and trademarks belong to those institutions.
The documents you upload and the content you write remain yours. We process them only to provide the service: to store them, present them for advisor review and prepare your report. We use them for nothing else.
11. Limits of liability
- We provide the service as it is. Maintenance, updates or outages at the third-party services we rely on (payment, video, e-mail, hosting) may make the platform temporarily unavailable; we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
- We are not responsible for the decisions of universities, application systems, consulates or banks.
- We work to keep catalog and matching information current, but you should still verify it at the university's official source before making decisions.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information and documents you provide; we are not responsible for outcomes caused by missing or incorrect information.
- Our liability is limited as far as the law allows. Liability for our intent or gross negligence, and liability arising from consumer law, is reserved in every case.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service or the applicable law changes. The current text is always on this page, and the date at the top shows the last change. We announce significant changes on the site before they take effect. Changes do not retroactively worsen the terms of services you have already paid for. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the current terms.
13. Governing law, disputes and contact
These terms and your use of UniMatch TR are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye.
If something goes wrong, please write to destek@unimatch.tr first; most things can be resolved together. As a consumer, you can also apply to the consumer arbitration committees or the consumer courts within the monetary limits set each year by the applicable legislation. If you live outside Türkiye, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country may also apply to you.
